It’s been a couple of weeks since we last updated a progress report on Jessie. She is starting to look like a solid van now. Body cuts have been used on rear corners, the front panel is on, the doors are on and have been gapped up. Don’t get me wrong there is still a lot of work to be done but the major fabrication stage is nearly there. With every van it’s the fiddly bits that seem to take ages to complete.
We had our customer visit the other day he hadn’t seen Jessie since she came out of the media blast room when she was looking a little worse for wear. It was nice to be able to show him panels and chassis that were solid.
Color choices were discussed and Jessie is going to go back to her original color of Sierra Yellow which is still visible in the engine bay. Yes there is some original metal left!!
We even mentioned the possibility of taking Jessie to Camper Jam in July as a painted shell. No pressure our end then!!!
