Ok so it’s been a while getting this blog done…Well we never made Camper jam with Jessie. Maybe next year.
The work shop is busy as usual but now the children are back in school then we can get back to normality.
Just when you think that there can’t be any more rot we started work on the roof and gutters, the tailgate hinge panel was completely rotten which was removed and replaced.
When we stripped the pop top off Jessie the metal frame on the van was made up of old odd pieces of angle and a huge amount of old rivet holes… all has been removed and replaced with complete new parts and new roof arriving from the guys at Doormobile.
All of the underside of Jessie is complete and has been etched primed, seam sealed, stone guarded, primed and painted black. While the van is on the roll frame all new brake pipes, clutch and accelerator cables are all put in.
Work is starting on stripping rear hubs, front beam and drive shafts.
Prep for paint has started…
