Not one to wish time to go faster but what a year 2020. It’s a shame not being able to catch up at VW shows this year, fingers crossed for normality next year.
I think as a company we have been very fortunate that our workshop is on our premises. We have been able to continue working when others had to lock down. Although it was difficult trying to juggle work and look after the kids, providing we kept the supply of petrol flowing for their motor bikes they were happy.
As mentioned we were able to keep working with us being busier than ever with bookings.
We had a Bay window booked in which is a little worse for wear. Now we aren’t ones to shy away from a heavy project but if I said half the chassis was on the drive when it was taken off the trailer that’s not an exaggeration. After a few conversations with the customers we decided that the Bay wasn’t cost effective to restore and that the customer would prefer to put the money into a better base vehicle. We managed to source a split from a guy that imports vans.
We took delivery of a lovely Split screen all the way from Sweden, the bus was originally used by the railway company. As far as vans go this is a great base vehicle to restore.
