Hope everyone has had a great Christmas and New Year.
It was nice to get back into the workshop after the break…
We were hoping to get Boris out for a drive but the rain just kept on coming. We are lucky that we weren’t affected by the floods and our thoughts are with the people that were.
The focus this month is to get the vans that are nearly complete back to the owners.. clearing space for vans that need to come in for restoration.
We have a very nice Samba “Ricky D” that will be due to go into paint as soon as customer has confirmed paint choice..we have retro fitted the delux trim and the front safaris. This van is going to look amazing so watch this space.
I have been stripping an early bay this week ready for restoration…. I have to say it is already showing some big gremlins…panels have been put on top of others and filled with paper/ plastic bags and filled over. The track cover has been screwed on, from inside of the van… But I have to tell you my pet hate is when door strike plates and washer bottles are painted over. When a van is painted and ready to start building I spend a great deal of time removing paint…
